Another litany of 'illegal' and 'unethical' house seizures by lazy banks

Quote:Just implying that banks are thieves doesn't make it so.

YOu really need to pay more attention to what is going on with the world, Void.

Quote:Dec. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Bank of America Corp. was sued by Arizona and Nevada over home-loan modification programs intended to keep homeowners who borrowed from its Countrywide mortgage unit out of foreclosure.

Instead of working to modify loans on a timely basis, Bank of America proceeded with foreclosures while borrowers’ requests for modifications were pending, a violation of a 2009 agreement with Arizona to help borrowers facing the loss of their homes, Terry Goddard, the state’s attorney general, said yesterday in a statement.

Thieves without guns are still thieves.

Some banks are dodgy =/= all banks are dodgy, That was my point - If you're going to make false generalisations you should expect someone to point it out.

Any org who breaks the law should be strung up, especially when they know exactly what they are doing.

Oh and big thumbs down on the out of context quote too. It was clear from my post that I evaluated your quote in the context of all banks, where as you quoted me to relate to a specific case of which I was in complete agreement already. Congratz.

Americans seem to be as well trained to blind obedience as Pavlov's dogs were to a bell.

Yes, Darkest, it is quite true; Americans have proven themselves a passive bunch once again as shown by this latest "Credit Meltdown". Americans have a special place in the history of the spread of Global Capitalism and International Debt Capital. They seem to be setting a good sheeplike and obedient example for all to follow.

Capitalism is a form of International Government, with big International Banks at the top of the hirarchy. The act of "bailing out" the biggest banks was nothing more than an act of paying homage to their global authority. Instead of handing out hundreds of billions of US Dollars, (the worlds reserve currancy), to these banks, they could have just as easily handed the same money to the CONSUMMERS ! THEY would have spent the money immediately and stimulated the economy again! There would never have been all the unemployed or disposessed as we now have, we would all be thriving, (but the banks would have lost a great deal of power). The billions which was given the banks is presently collecting dust in bank vaults! How does this "stimulate the economy"?

The facts are: The entire Capitalist System is based on DEBT and the interest payed on that debt. The World-Wide Banking and Finance System made some mistakes, causing this "debt system" to collapse. So therefore it is the BANKS that get rescued! . . . . . God forbid that our banking system should lose its governing power over us ! ! !

Remember this: Your "rights" never excede your bankroll . . . . .

Footnote: Ofcourse there is a small minority of Insiders who made mega-billions off the collapse. They are presently swarming about the globe spending their money. Very little of it being spent or invested within the USA, while America is slipping into economic obscurity. . . . . . Congradulations, Sheep!

Well, I'll tell you what. Find me a bank which is NOT run by a bunch of scumbags and I'll consider your argument.

Right now...you'd have to look long and hard.

No, because there is no intent. Just a faceless corp that is too big to know what all it's parts are doing. If you tried to create "zero-tolerance" laws to protect against this kind of thing you'll have the neo-cons mindlessly screaming "REGULATION BAD!" & somehow spinning homeowner protection as a horrible thing.

If a human tries a home invasion on me I can legally blow them away, but a bank can do it thru the legal system with little to no repercussions. Sad
