RE: Another litany of 'illegal' and 'unethical' house seizures by lazy banks

These banks get away with these things because many people are afraid to lawyer up during these times.
I swear, some Americans just choose to take things up the tailpipe because they don't know any better.
If today you can take a thing like evolution and make it a crime to teach in the public schools, tomorrow you can make it a crime to teach it in the private schools and next year you can make it a crime to teach it to the hustings or in the church. At the next session you may ban books and the newspapers...
Ignorance and fanaticism are ever busy and need feeding. Always feeding and gloating for more. Today it is the public school teachers; tomorrow the private. The next day the preachers and the lecturers, the magazines, the books, the newspapers. After a while, Your Honor, it is the setting of man against man and creed against creed until with flying banners and beating drums we are marching backward to the glorious ages of the sixteenth centry when bigots lighted fagots to burn the men who dared to bring any intelligence and enlightenment and culture to the human mind. ~Clarence Darrow, at the Scopes Monkey Trial, 1925
Politics is supposed to be the second-oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first. ~Ronald Reagan

There needs to be strict regulation when you're dealing with someone's house and prized belongings. I'm sure everyone will agree, this is appalling on so many levels.

Americans seem to be as well trained to blind obedience as Pavlov's dogs were to a bell.
The world is a dangerous place to live - not because of the people who are evil but because of the people who don't do anything about it.

In one circumstance you invest other peoples money in exchange for services such as security, withdrawal and interest payments for a low quality high quantity profit.
In the other circumstance you steal a bunch of cash outright without negotiating any return for the owner of the cash, it's high quality low quantity.
There is your difference - Just implying that banks are thieves doesn't make it so. I like my bank, my interest payments are only slightly more than my fees, but I get to more easily store, manage and withdraw my funds as well as making fast transfers to other people making obtaining the goods and services I want easier, not to mention the loan rate is fair.

There is nothing good about that circumstance.
Fiat currency + Bubble economy + Debts 6% higher than GDP + Govt guaranteed loans for Freddie and Fanny + Greedy Cunts not having to risk their own capital = Shit shit shit!
It doesn't mean that quotes attacking banking in general are justified, it means that the US economy is fucked and all these shady traders who should have collapsed from their own fuckery are now alive and kicking thanks to a stimulus package that's dug the debt hole even deeper.
