"Tell me everything you know about Amylda and Cathi. Do they have anyone close to them? Children? Loved ones? I seen Amylda has many admires. Have any been scorn? Any uncomfortable close? What of the adversaries?"
"Yeah, there were guys talking to Amylda at the bar, but Cathi is the one who can pick up about any guy she wants. Amylda is the one who set up the whole operation.
When we're not working, we largely keep to ourselves. I know they both have pretty nice houses. Neither are married or from around here. Cathi doesn't seem to keep partners long term. I think Amylda has a girlfriend, but I'm not sure. She hangs out with several women, but I think she's dating one. Again, we don't really hang out when we're not planning some heist. We generally try not to make adversaries. We don't let the people we steal from know who we are. We pay off the right guards and have a few different fences in town for selling stuff. As far as fighting goes, Cathi is pretty good with a sword. She knows a few tricky things like short range teleportation. Amylda is a pretty good caster. She focuses on enchantments and illusions. She's more dangerous in that she seems to be more forward thinking. If they aren't hiding together, she'll be setting something in motion, already."

Sure that we would be walked into a trap by this fellow still would be the fastest way to catch up with his allies by bringing us all together again

He takes you to a section of town five or six blocks away. While it's not a ritzy neighborhood, the houses here are pretty solid. He walks about half a block away and discreetly points it out as "the blue one". There's nothing interesting about this how, compared to the others, and you probably assume that's the point. There aren't any lights on, but it's also day time, so that's not saying much. It's a two story house with some good masonry under it. There's a front porch with a couple of chairs on it, leading to a solid-looking wood door. The windows flanking it are pretty narrow. "There's a door on the front and the back. They're both solid, and the window frames are all steel. Both doors are locked and trapped. I have a key, of course. If either of them are in there, I can't be sure where they are. I mean, they're probably not on the second floor, because that's dumb, but they could be in any room on the main floor, or raiding the stash in the basement, for all I know. How do you want to handle this?"
"Khah do you believe you can climb in threw the second story? Maybe let us in threw the inside, or at least get the lay of the land." Erus pans his view up and down the street. "I haven't had much time to recoup my spells but if they are in there we don't want them to get away."
"I can climb in to open the door, but this guy said he had a key. I can scout it out, if you want."
Erus knods with approval and awaits khahs action.
Our man here just said something about "raiding THE STASH in the basement". Should we use that key to barge in, and secure this stash, killing anything that gets in between it and us, and then in between us & getting it out?
I'm still having trouble remembering what the original criteria were we were supposed to meet in relation to our efforts against these dealers. |
