I don't know if it is because I've read the books or what but I agree that it gets super boring watching it. We stopped a few seasons in just from lack of interest.

This. One Black Mirror episode really fucked with my head which makes me love it.

Gilmore Girls series was great but did you see that disgusting excuse of a revamp?

You pretty much just said exactly what I was feeling. He knows the moment he finishes the books his world is over just like Harry Potter was killed by the last book and Twilight being too popular (ha jokes on Twilight with Fantastic Beasts!) He will hold out until he dies and then leave it- maybe.

People die and stay dead. And they shit their pants. A Feast for Crows, the fourth novel, discusses war from a peasants POV and actively works against the classic fantast trope of honorable and glorified warfare.
*cough* You sure about that bolded part?

I never finish series that have like 5 seasons or more and episodes lasting 45 mins... however good it is I lose interest halfway through.
That being said, the first season of Suits isn't shabby either. Gilmore Girls seems like it could be fun but not particularly thought provoking. Black Mirror may be the exact opposite. I'm all for it.
