Culture is shaped by living memory.

Generations die off and the lessons get forgotten only for the same mistakes to be made again.

Anyone remember what started to happen 90 years ago?

Yep, back to not voting ever again in my life.  I should have stayed true to myself this year, but stupid people who think voting matters peer pressured me into voting.   Wacky

There's an old saying that all politics are local. When you decide to join us voters, you'll find that it's not only national elections in which you can cast a vote.

It's the hyper-local elections that are often just as important to have a say in. Mayor. City council. District attorney. Judges.
Hell,  you can leave some lines blank and just vote in the elections you only care about.
But to leave all of those decisions entirely up to it other people? No way. That's foolish.

ETA: I see you did vote but that you feel you were pressured into it somehow and now regret it. I just don't understand that mindset. If I'm given any measure of power over my community, I'm all over that.

Well if it makes you feel any better my wife's friend went to the voting station to find out her card had already been filled out!!! complete democrat run even though she is a registered republican. what's more they would not allow here to take a picture or record, they just kept telling her to put the card pre filled into the machine and they would give her another...

(which would not be counted obviously if she has already put the democratic card in under her name)

So even if you did not vote, I have a feeling millions of non voters and recently deceased voted democrat in your stead!

She should have complained to whomever was in charge and refused to put the card into the machine.

There's no evidence of this happening on this kind of scale.

If that were the case why aren't the Dems unbeatable ?
