I’d probably opt to live in or near Bree.

My Middle Earth persona (Karlmir Stonewain) is a former Gondorian Ranger residing on a large family estate in Anórien. He is a noted writer, scholar and historian. He and his wife spend their winters in a modest apartment in Minas Tirith, leaving the management of the estate to their sons and grandsons. A number of his articles have been published in THE PELENNOR TIMES.

If he's a Ranger, shouldn't he have a Sindarin name?

Correction, Childperson came from The Forty Year Old Hippie Comics rather than the Furry Freak Brothers.

I'm pretty sure I still have all the FFB comics, including the ones that were Fat Freddy's Cat all by himself without the FFB, but most of them are reproductions of the originals.  Which is fine, it's still the same material and it's not like I'm ever going to sell them anyway.

Have I mentioned here that i made my own wallpaper for one of our bathrooms?  It's done like yellowed newspaper and catalog clippings---mostly a 1906 Sears catalog but also cartoons from various sources and pretty much anything I could find that's bathroom related.  I made copy machine copies, cut and wallpaper pasted them in an almost jigsaw style.  ANYWAY, the relevant part is that a lot of them are copies of FFB and the cat comics.

We call it the "Bermuda" bathroom.  People go in and don't come back out for alooooooong time.  And we hear a lot of laughter while they are in there reading the walls.

And another ANYWAY....Childperson was the child of friends of the Forty Year Old Hippie.  I don't think there was ever a gender giveaway, and Childperson was to pick a name for itself when old enough to do so.  The Forty Year Old Hippie babysat Childperson from time to time.  Which was never a very good idea.

Here is a sample of the kind of comics on my bathroom walls:

And it absolutely amazes me how far backwards we've gone since 1906 when stuff in the Sears catalog could cure EVERYTHING that ailed you.  Here's one that could cure pretty much every male ailment:

Where are we going and why am I in this hand basket?

Woops---another correction. Just looked up Childperson and the Potty Monster online and can clearly see that Childperson is drawn as male. Never noticed that before. My Childperson is female. And is now pushing 40 herself.

I chose Karlmir before I was fully familiar with Sindarin. I was already using Gwaithmir on atheist websites. Once my pen name was established, I didn't want to change it.

I also have an extensive collection of R. Crumb's artwork. Great
