How to fix immigration.

1. People who want to come here to the US are welcome - as long as they want to follow the rules. So - we open up a guest worker visa, and simplify as much as practical the process of immigration. Show up - get in line - do the paperwork - prove you' re not a security risk - and welcome to the US.
2. Everybody else - the drug dealers, human smugglers and other various vermin --- we fuck with their heads...... First thing we do is announce that we' re going to put landmines on the border. Now chill the fuck out, spaz - we are NOT going to actually do it -- but the bad guys don't need to know that. We fly aircraft over the border dropping fake mines. We blow some animals and a few corpse for the bad guys to find - along with the " warning - minefield" signs. Sure, we will take some heat from other countries - and that's' good. Let them scream for a bit, to make it all seem real. We' ll clue them in eventually.
The combination of the two would make legal entry look like the better deal, very quickly.
