Youtube recommended me this video and all I can say is, Yay! A new documentary about Star Wars! Just what this world needs. If nothing else, who doesn't want to see Kevin Smith talk let alone about Star Wars, and there is also Seth Green sharing his trinkets of wisdom.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

There is a new historical movie about the persecution of Jews by the Catholic Church in Portugal

Fun fact: The first time I watched this trailer, partly due to the way the light was hitting my iPad screen, I dead-ass thought this was at least partly rotoscoped.

Seriously, watch this trailer with a light source glaring on the screen and watch parts of any of Richard Linklater's three animated movies and see what I mean.

The New Indiana Jones movie trailer is out and we finally find out what the movie is about. It's about a time-changing device that can change the past, they will probably use it to erase the previous movie from happening.

This seems far too sane a work for something with this title:

This needs to be about a man in Florida (ideally played by Nicolas Cage) deciding to go completely batshit crazy.

“Kidnapped” The film starts in 1858 in the Jewish quarter of Bologna, when the Pope’s soldiers burst into the home of the Mortara family. By order of the cardinal, they have come to take Edgardo, their seven-year-old son. The child had been secretly baptized by his nurse as a baby and the papal law is unquestionable: he must receive a Catholic education.

Edgardo’s parents, distraught, will do anything to get their son back. Supported by public opinion and the international Jewish community, the Mortaras’ struggle quickly takes a political dimension. But the Church and the Pope will not agree to return the child, to consolidate an increasingly wavering power.

There is a documentary about the Duggar family, and the only way to describe it is "horrific."
