Maybe it's called Doctor Sleep because The Shining was such a snore-fest.

Kubrick's version was overrated trash. King's novel was quite good though.
The ABC adaptation of the The Shining wasn't too bad either, IMO. Better than the film, anyhow. 

Much closer to the source material then Kubrick's steaming pile of pig poop.
