Homeschooling is not without its problems. Children lose out on important socialization skills that are developed in school, working on cooperative learning projects.
Generally true, but that doesn't work out as intended for every child. I had concentration issues as a kid and couldn't absorb much of anything the teachers said to me (the only way I can learn anything properly is solo, either by reading the prescribed textbooks or these days watching lecture recordings), and I didn't have much friends at school and was treated rather badly by some of my classmates, so never had the opportunity or motivation to develop good social skills. Hence my prior post.

Don't forget critical thinking! The students should enter college ready to ace any Introduction to Logic exam offered by the philosophy department (without actually having taken the course). Critical thinking is quite congruent with bayonet skills concerning bad ideas, too, if you hear me on that.

Don't forget study skills. Might be a little early, but probably not. Study skills are an important adjunct to topical learning.

Is study skills even a thing
Does it involve forcing yourself to enjoy mind numbingly boring topics like learning to balance the ledger in accounting?
I found that as boring as religious instruction class.

Feel ya, and that was a concern...-the- concern, in fact.....but like Boru said....they're 4 siblings and I have a seasonal army, so no worries. Errybody brings their kids. In june, there are probably 40 kids around this piece.
Logic problems aren't part of the curriculum...that's just what they have to finish before they get toast, always been that way. They hate it. The fact that they hate it just makes me love it more...because I'm that kind of papa.
I have gripes, though, Ill get into that, lol.

Sometimes home schooling is superior to public schools.
Sometimes you just end up with TWO generations of droolers.
It' s all in how the cards are dealt..

No droolers in this fam. Nothing is ever good enough. Hawking would get made fun of as a drooler..if we birthed him. Just who we are. Straight a's....blow it out your ass, nobody cares.
My gripes come in the form of a lack of cooperation between my children...and the fact that the state makes me do more work than they do. I don't know how I'll keep it up come march. That's when the bills get paid. I hope they like fish.

Homeschooling is not without its problems. Children lose out on important socialization skills that are developed in school, working on cooperative learning projects. Definitely. I was in normal school until 10th grade and then homeschooled (due to unavoidable circumstances) for the past two years, and I definitely have a very strong preference for one style of schooling over the other. I didn't lose out on any important socialization skills because my homeschooling was only for two years, but I dunno what would've happened if I'd been homeschooled all my life. Then again, I'm an only child who lives far away from most of her friends unlike Khem's kids, so they won't face that problem, apparently.
Looking forward to seeing how the homeschool academy goes.
