Good on you for coming out to anyone, even if you can't to your family yet. I hope that goes well. To be honest, I don't know the gender of most of the posters here. I don't really care how you identify, not in a mean way, it's just not my business. It shouldn't matter to anyone. It should be like saying, "I prefer to use green cups over any other color." And everyone says, "Oh, okay. Don't know why that's important."

Are you so fragile that you really need the arbitrary approval of random people you'll never meet to decide whether you're wearing boxers or a thong today? Die Atheistin has been here since 2017, but you just got here a few days ago. To you, everyone here would be strangers. To others, this may be a community of friends who actually care about each other. (December 17, 2018 at 5:56 pm)Maketakunai Wrote:Quote:Your right! Nothing has ever gone wrong by coming out as gender-fluid, or Trans, or Gay, or atheist. We live in a wonderful utopian society! I'm sure no one here has ever had to worry that they'd be thrown out onto the street and disowned by their family, divorced by their spouse, lose their job, been bullied, beaten up, or killed.[/size] I'm not talking about equality, I'm talking about the right to self-defense, the right to protect one self from harm. They're not even asking us to use any sort of gender pronouns to use when describing them. This person is considering the possibility (real or imagined) that coming out IRL might cause them harm. Part of the problem is that being gender-fluid isn't the problem, the problem is that other people think that they have a problem and they're more then just vocal about it.

Both, welcome to moderating. Is this your first time being criticized for not being perfect while being green? It’s like losing your virginity.

If you want to be treated as an equal in any adult community, it's more or less a prerequiite that you can make your own choices, and abide by the choices you make. I clearly don't know this guy since I didn't even catch on to the fact that he's German..... so this is an honest question. Is he a fucking child that's incapable of dealing with his own problems? Best example of adultism ever!
