Exactly the same for a gay person who wants a wedding cake, isn't it?

But what if you look at it this way: imagine that you are an architect who is also an atheist and that a priest orders that you design a Christian church for him would you do it? Do you think you have right to object? I mean Supreme Court did rule in the favor of the baker stating "Creative professionals who serve all people should be free to create art consistent with their convictions without the threat of government punishment." and baking cakes is probably really going out on a limb to call it an art since it is basically cooking but I guess it is different then just let's say serving drinks or selling groceries.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
Architects tend not to open up little shops anyone can walk into with an expectation of impartial service.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

Just last week, I went into a Christian bakery (I knew they were Christian by the crucifix sheet cake in the front window, with the foofy red-icing blood drips and chocolate sprinkles crown of thorns), and I forced them, at gunpoint, to bake a double Devil's Food (heh) layer cake, for a gay couple I know that doesn't even intend to get married. That was so much fun that next week I'm going to force them to make cupcakes for a lesbian birthday party.

If the cake doesn't have anti black, anti gay anti female themes why should I care? If it had messages against interracial or gay marriages on it, then yes, I would object. If i own an ice cream shop and a Christian or Muslim or Jew buys a waffle cone of 3 scoops on it, and thanks a god they got a cold treat on a hot day, all I would do is take their money, then when they turn away from me and roll my eyes. But if you order cake or ice cream and you want to put a bigoted message in your order, yea, I will tell you to fuck off. So on what exactly do they based it on I don't know. If you're a poet and an atheist and someone orders from you a song about how great Allah is, it is much different emotional and intellectual task than baking a cake from an already made design that you already made hundred times before.
