Better than stating "I am that I am" ( or some similar nonsense) with absolutely nothing even close to possibly supporting the statement.

But there is more.
It seems like a separate matter though. If I say "Wyzas probably ate the last cookie" or "Wyzas ate the last cookie", which on is spoken conclusively? Which one would I (or anyone else) take more seriously?

Yes. For example the scientific method.
Yeah, not so much.

Thoreavian has been here longer. These things take time. Christ, I've been here more than five years and haven't broken 100 (nudge nudge).
But that's as may be. Here you go...

How is that unfair?
The Christians of the temperament to make major contributions to science inspite of Christianity will still make major contribution to science.
The Christians of the temperament to resist science because science does not coddle their fantasies will still resist science and remain besotted by their fantasies.
Christianity still relies on the latter vastly outnumbering the former to survive.
The latter would still do everything they can to resist the progress of science so Christianity can survive.

No reason to kick yourself. "I Am" was not just used there though and the way it is stated changes.

We Christians established the fundamentals of modern day scientific study. It was adopted in a broader sense, so now we see pretty much all serious scientists using it, as well as amateur scientists. It's used because of its effectiveness for ascertaining knowledge.

Good for you. Cave men established the fundamentals of using fire. It was adopted in a broader sense. Now we see pretty much all serious humans using it, as well as amateur humans. So let’s all remain cavemen.
