Wow, had no clue that Northern Cali was that cloudy. Is San Francisco like that? Crazy. Are there any sweet spots in between like LA and cloudy north Cali?
I don’t remember exactly, but my uncle lives near San Fran and it’s much sunnier there. We lived up north by Eureka. I think the mountains in the area were the culprit for the cloudiness, along with coastal fog.
In either case my skin was white in a year xD

I'm German/Irish with the rest being English, Scottish and Swedish.
So I come in two colors... Translucent white, and 'bordering on skin cancer' red.

Northern/Western European. I can get a light tan if I take all summer and do it carefully. The last time I did that I was 13 or 14. I've been sun burnt too many times to count, though.

I'm a pasty Cracker...so..both. I'm covered in freckles head to toe in the winter, and -am- a giant covering freckle in the summer. Less so since I moved up here, I guess. The wife misses my swarthy tan, lol.

I used to always burn, then I got a summer job doing maintenance and various manual labor on a beach, and it seemed to have changed my skin's reaction to the sun. Now I tan! And rarely burn! Mazeltov!
