"What volcano erupted on a Mediterranean island in 79ce?"

Mediterranean Island?

The only European eruption I know of in 79CE is Vesuvius.  But that's on the Italian mainland.

My question was lost on the previous page.

Shit, I thought that was an island. Get to learn something new everyday. I always thought it was. Thanks for the correction. Maybe I was mistaken, but I viewed Pompeii much like the Island of Alcatraz in the San Fran bay.

Ok really really your turn now Val. You come up with a question. But for funzies, everyone who responds to "technically" get it correct has to lead the answer with

"The answer is, ...... Mt Vesuvius" Just like Jeopardy only gives you a correct answer if you respond with "What is" or "Who is".

The answer is Brett Farve? Ok, I am thinking football and being silly. Time to get serious and use the modern encyclopedia called google. Just found the wiki page for that specific battle, no irony lost on me considering one of the key players was a guy named Brian Boru.

The answer is Brian Boru.

Cleaver, how you incorporated my name and Boru's into a history question.

Is the answer Moonlighting?

It's the only 80s detective show I know that would do a spoof apart from Sledge Hammer.
