That's an interesting veiw G G.

Perhapse you've had some bad experiences with professionals in certain feilds.

It doesn't detract from the myriad overall gains in knowledge and understanding over the past half a dozen centuries or so.

Cheers.

Early Christian Writings

I'm not familiar with many of those and I see some of the ones I do know as miss dated. There are those that I do not believe to be of value to the Christian Bible. Just like our last conversation you are dancing around the discussion to prove nothing of importance as I see it. You have avoided twice now my original statement to you in this thread, why?

You say that you accept the opinions of "professional scholars"; what NT texts do you feel are misdated?

Matthew, obviously, for starters.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

So you would rather believe the lies of the church's view of science over the truth. Gotcha.

I listen to learned teachers of science who happen to be Christians and believe what they prove.

No it's not bad experiences it's what I observe in many scientist today. Yes great progress through science has been made over the last couple centuries but there are those scientist who want to be superstars over being real scientist.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

They're only proving through the bias of faith that they believe in it first and foremost. You know, putting the wagon before the horse.

Probably all of them, again i'm going to ask you to answer my first post to you in this thread, you seem to be afraid to. If you can't this ends our conversation, you did this to me the last time we had a discussion and I stopped even coming to the forum for few weeks, I get tired of your games.

Actually some were atheist that couldn't make sense of the evolutionary science and began to search for another answer and in doing so the found God at the center of the answers they sought. The horse was always before the cart.

 Right.

People are people.

Their acomplishments, however, tend to stand by themselves. No?

Not at work.

Which just goes to show that even book-smart people can be ignorant.
