Now they even arrested Ted Danson for protesting against climate change

Why not better arrest those Republicans that stormed the hearings?

But it also seems that firefighters should have a budget that resembles the budget that army has, to be able to fight against all those fires.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

What?! But this was supposed to be safe and never leak. Someone lied.

Quote:The Keystone pipeline has leaked an unknown quantity of oil in northeastern North Dakota

The Department of Environmental Quality estimated the spill was about 1,500 feet in length by 15 feet wide as of Wednesday afternoon. Steps are being taken to contain the release, but the volume of oil that has spilled is currently unknown, officials said.

Walsh County Emergency Manager Brent Nelson said the spill is contained to a wetland and has affected an area where a local farmer cuts hay.

Could this be a reality that we will all soon find ourselves in?

Quote:In Delhi, an 'Oxygen bar' gives Indians a gulp of fresh air. Low air quality has given a business opportunity to entrepreneurs offering pollution-free oxygen at a price.

Somehow it is way too easy for me to imagine clean air stocks appearing on the stock market and new/ old billionaires making money selling selling oxygen tanks (like they now sell bottled water); Google, Disney and Coca Cola buying new fresh air companies; bought politicians and media personalities saying that it is socialist, ecofacist and Marxist to demand to breathe for free and how it creates jobs and how it is part of God's greater plan.
Fashion designers designing clothing with oxygen tanks to look cool.

In London you can borrow electric car on the street, drive it where you need and leave it.

And economists wonder why the industry of Germany is slowing down. Maybe because people are not that much into buying stuff anymore, who knew?

That's going to be the hardest part of any green future. We'll know when we're serious about it when we stop sugar coating the reality of a profound economic downturn whether we do nothing, or the right thing.

Here's a solution, wouldn't you say?

In other words, electric vehicles are fantasy. This carbon sucker not only sucks carbon dioxide out of the air but can also make a car fuel that you can pour in any gasoline car today without any modifications to the car, same goes with planes and ships. So instead of everyone buying an electric car, and other vehicles, they just use clean fuel and recycle the carbon dioxide.

Chile has the largest electric bus fleet in Latin America. Don't we all deserve clean air? Shouldn't they be in every city?

Vehicles lined up in pool is a fetish for me.......I wanna say yes..but the reason that electric buses aren't everywhere, yet, is that they don't actually perform to standards or even their own ad copy.

So, honestly, the answer is no. They shouldn't be in every city - maybe they should be in more, to provide a testbed for the tech...but we're talking about grinding up against realities of funding and infrastructure at that point.

Actually, it seems that electric buses outperform diesel buses in that they use less energy, less maintenance, don't produce sut, they apparently already saved tens of millions of dollars.
And there are some plans like in NY to replace all buses with electric ones until 2040.

But China outperforms US in electric bus production, so much so that while US makes 300 buses China makes 79 thousand.
