And Sheldon and Amy won the Nobel Prize, and the elevator got fixed.
I am going to miss The Big Bang Theory.
Never found a thing about that show funny.

I really loved this ending, because it tells a story I have said for years outside this show. Amy and Sheldon gave their acceptance speech and Sheldon rightfully said he couldn't have done it alone.
In reality, not everyone will get on top, but everyone who does, stands on shoulders of countless others. (May 16, 2019 at 8:49 pm)LadyForCamus Wrote: Never found a thing about that show funny. Thank you. I tried to watch it several times. It was just standard formulaic "comedy" that I've come to expect from sitcoms these days. Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? I used to watch that. Funny show.
Don't know why I stopped. Did Amy and Sheldon ever get around to getting it on? RE: They Fixed The Elevator

All of you can call it formulaic all you want, but I identified with the characters, not in that I was book smart in reality, but in that I was odd, and bullied. I also identified with them because they were all oddballs, and when I finally had my first real friend in HS, I got it. It didn't matter what others thought. That show has always reminded me not to give a fuck.

Super generic, predictable, unimaginative jokes and characters who are walking cliches. “Blah blah blah, Star Wars!!!” *crowd erupts in laughter* Though I do think that Jim Parsons actually did a decent job of making Sheldon a unique, real-feeling character. That’s only credit to his individual talent though; not credit to the writers.

They are having a "behind the scenes farewell" half hour, they just played a line from an old episode where Sheldon and Lenard were trying to get a heavy box up up the stairs, and it slipped down the stairs and Sheldon said, "Oh gravity, thou art a heartless bitch."

Well, at least you didn't feel the need to explain the 'joke' this time. It was nearly as lame as yours...no wonder you like the show. |
