Well yeah some things are obvious. I mean if you look the movie "Star Wars" and then you watch "Spaceballs", and you know that SW is an older movie, you would be very stupid to conclude that "Spaceballs" invented all that stuff like the Schwartz, Dark Helmet, Yogurt,  Lone Starr and Barf, Schwartz-rings fights, but rather it is obvious to anyone with half a brain that the makers of "Spaceballs" took (stole) stories, elements, scenes, characters from Star Wars; as they did from other movies like "Alien", "Planet of the Apes", "Wizard Of Oz" etc. And then again Star Wars stole from other movies and books which stole from other books etc.

But I get what you're asking, you are wondering if anyone already did the job connecting the dots. There is a book written back in the 19th century by T. W. Doane called "Bible myths and their parallels in other religions : being a comparison of the Old and New Testament myths and miracles with those of heathen nations of antiquity"

Here's a link (it's a free book by now) http://www.gutenberg.org/files/31885/318...1885-h.htm

Here is what it says about 6 day creation

Quote:The Zend-Avesta—the sacred writings of the Parsees—states that the Supreme being Ahuramazdâ (Ormuzd), created the universe and man in six successive periods of time, in the following order: First, the Heavens; second, the Waters; third, the Earth; fourth, the Trees and Plants; fifth, Animals; and sixth, Man. After the Creator had finished his work, he rested.

After that he talks about the first couple.

Lets work this out  ...

Scholars believe the first human settlements in Jerusalem took place during the Early Bronze Age—somewhere around 3500 B.C.

Ken Ham considers the earth is 6,000 years old

Gets out calculator  ...

Sorry this is only an estimation

and I've shown you where the bible say the exodus of the garden happened 6000 years ago, so again douche if you are looking to topple the idea of the jews stealing the origins or flood story you have to have a religion older than 6000 years... Not the zondervan's whatevers as their oldest book was from the 1850s. you need a 6000 year old document stone tablet or something.. along those lines..

how many year was it between adam and eve and the establishment of jerusalem?

roughly between 3500 and 4500 years...

Now do you understand the reasoning for this question/time line?

Judaism was not a religion till after the exodus of the jews which means even while in captivity in egypt the people who would become jews would in egypt not be known as jews nor would their religion be known as even abraham was not a jew. his religion or his father religion was that of the ancient sumerians... Meaning If God chose abraham to be the father of his people then it would make sense that his [lineage] be traced back through a given people which again would carry the same stories and tellings of their God from the time of adam and eve back.

Meaning you are not looking for a religion older than judaism you are look for a religion older than adam and eve. 4000 to 6000 bc.

A likely hypothesis, indeed. However, it does not address the OP or the discussion I'm presently having with the fundie/creationist. Are there extant texts showing parallels between the Babylonian or Sumerian texts and those of Genesis, specifically the first man and woman? Citations needed.
Grod...
(since glob was no help)

ok.. let say Man lived outside the garden for millions of years. and 6000 years ago Adam exited the garden. and Adam and his kin bring stories of this God and life in the garden.. Now understand they do not bring this story t the jews as the jews are not a people yet and won't be for another 4500 or so years... So who are adam and eve telling about this God? The ancient sumerians and babylonians.. which agin makes since because the line of adam is traced to abraham... now look closely because this is where you got lost last time.

Because abraham is a known descendant of adam via the genealogies, and we know Abraham father was a idol maker in the land of Ur a Sumerian city would it not again for the previous descendants of adam Abraham's for father who lived in ur and the surrounding cities of ancient sumeria share the stories of adam and eve the tower the great flood? If these things where 100% real to thee people why would they not share? it is not like they had their own nation, people or religion... it was simply a big family at that point.

So again WHY Wouldn't the ancient sumerians put these stories in their religion? why wouldn't they try and assimilate this God into their own collective?

I will explain as you missed the point ... AGAIN ...  Doh

Your question  ... " how many year was it between adam and eve and the establishment of jerusalem? "

Mickey Mouse, like Adam and Eve were not born or from reality ... Jerusalem and Disney World were established in reality  ...

So the time between fantasy figures and real places is equally inconsequential  Hehe

you don't want to touch it because you know I am right...

It is a hallmark for you douche bags to have an hold a canonical discussion trying to show God wrong through cannon. but when you fail or your knoweledge of God falls short you all resort to the argument you just did "well god does not exist anyway."

That's like having a discussion about what where darth vader's words to luke in ESB "Luke I am your father" Or Obi wan never told you about your Father... I am your father.

Now the discussion is not about darth vader outside of ESB it is about what the canonical discussion was between two people in a specific setting and what was or wasn't said. To have a canonical discussion demands you put away all other forms of reality, as you are discussing a specific world and a specific set of rules.

To loose a canonical discussion and then bring in another set of rules is fallacious reasoning. it over turning the game board thinking when you lost the game. Let's play monopoly, sure, oh you landed on my boardwalk again with 6 hotels! looks like you own me 10,000.00 (You: Those are not real hotels and that is not real money, so i don't owe you anything! turns over game board and leaves.)

Riddle me this sport if this fruit was so low, then why where you playing along up until the point where your ability use the bible to charge God failed you? Why did it matter in the beginning but when I took your exegetical nonsense and beat you with it, it is now and only now it has become such low hanging fruit?"
Hehe

You got your teeth kicked in by a christian and now want to try and save face by pulling the i don't believe in God card... well too late douche you are all in before you pulled that card.

The correct story is actually two cheeses Edam and Brie. From them all cheeses including the primordial dip in which his highest holiness, The name above all other names FSM dipped its glorious tendril in and sprung forth humans.

Drich fails once again with his plagiarised scribbling from false prophets and I fear I must now triple down on my prayers for him.

Bless. Ramen
"For the only way to eternal glory is a life lived in service of our Lord, FSM; Verily it is FSM who is the perfect being the name higher than all names, king of all kings and will bestow upon us all, one day, The great reclaiming"  -The Prophet Boiardi-
