Voting living in no man's land.

Voting living in no man's land.
I live in a weird zip code based upon how our lines are drawn, I have no local officials to vote for today. I just called the board of elections and the lady said she was in the same boat.

I do get to vote in primaries and state elections though. Does anyone else have this problem?

Why is this a problem? I've probably missed something, but you seem to be saying that there aren't any election in your district.  Yesno?

According to the board of elections. But this is the thing, I didn't vote last year either because they said the same thing. It just seems so weird to go two years without voting for something.

I confess to not being fully informed on the US election system, but wouldn't it be odd to expect an election in every district every year?

I live in Virginia, and I'm pretty sure we're the only state that has some type of election every year.
