You also get many different species of modern day wolves.
They are all genetic cousins.
Visit your local library or geez I don't know research biology websites and learn something.

If we're going to use tomatoes instead of the unknown samples, yes, plants often get their genetic material differently than humans. I don't know enough about tomatoes to specifically say whether it is sexual or asexual. I don't think such information can be extracted from the genetic material, but perhaps I'm wrong.

I don't know if there are tests that can look at genetic material and deduce that it was produced sexually, asexually, via mutation, manipulation, etc.

All kinds of them. An assay can determine whether a given plant was produced through apomixis, or gamete fusion. Tomatoes and green beans are both angiosperms, flowering plants. This is a portion of their shared genetic material, but it can also be observed without the need of any complex equipment. Mendel used angiosperms to determine the laws of heredity, for example.
We have three different sets of organisms, and each one of them gets their genetic material in the same manner, through sexual reproduction. From their parents, as you so succinctly acknowledge earlier.
Is there anything else that might be relevant to our discussion about the relationship between heredity and genetic composition? Anything else that we might be able to devise a test for? Mendels laws of heredity?
