It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

I would be willing to "own" the server and even promote all moderators and admins from here when they join to maintain the controls as-is here. I'll let this simmer for a bit and see what other feedback comes about.

100% no need to add all mods and admins from here. They don't all participate off-site. I think we only have one on Slack. If they were all cool with you just "moderating" it yourself, I wouldn't have a problem with that. The rules here wouldn't apply there, at least they don't for Slack.

I honestly don't see why we can't have both. If ones dies out, we know the other was meant to be.

I spoke to Tibs about it, and he was worried because we'd sort of decided not to do it, but that was in Slack. We didn't really consult the forum at large. I don't see any harm in giving it a try. In fact, I think the voice option would attract some members more than the chat does.

It's a text and voice chat server. By comparison, our existing Slack server is text only.
