Is there some objective way to demonstrate this?

Obviously we don't want to say that "intelligence" = "having the same opinions as me."

Obviously, there’s no way to demonstrate it. Intelligence and religious feeling clearly don’t correlate - there are plenty of scary smart godists in the world.

I tend to agree.

I was wondering if Daniel Wilson has some reasoning behind his statement.

We?   It is not obvious at all that you would want to say that, even though it is obvious you would not wish to be heard saying that.

Hello Daniel Wilson! Big Grin

Might I ask if English is your first or second language?

Myself? I speak two languages;

 English....

.... And bad English.

It was a typing mistake, I know how to write it.

Oh definately not wise by any streatch of the imagination.

The forum has many visitors from many points scattered widely across the globe.

I feel for your typing. My fingers don't so much 'Tap dance across the key board' as more stumble drunkenly over the desk... Tripping inelligantly over the keyboard plastic as they go.

I clicked before removal, it's an article about a meta-survey of IQ vs. religiosity.
The key takeaway from the magazine article was;

Quote:“The evidence that there is a negative relation between intelligence and religiosity is very strong. But the effect size of the relation is small. This means that there are factors besides intelligence that explain why people are or are not religious. It also means that although more intelligent people tend to be less religious on the average, predicting religiosity from intelligence for individuals is fallible,” Zuckerman told PsyPost.

The meta-survey itself is in a scientific journal and thus locked behind a pay-wall.
Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin
However given that DW hasn't made any reference to the size of the effect or that the article as good as states that IQ is not the determining factor I don't get the impression that he actually read it.
