Your favorite actor from Christian movies?
January 26, 2020 at 11:30 am
From all the Christian movies it seems that only few white guys over 35 years managed to have recurring appearances or, should I say, managed to make a career in acting in Christian movies. I wonder how come no women managed to do this?
And even Dean Cain is not exclusive to Christian movies but makes a lot of movies with animals on the side.
I must say that I will have to vote for Kevin Sorbo because of his portrayal of "Richard Dawkins" (or at least how religious people want us to see him). I mean you have an educated and erudite person like Dawkins being played by a mumbling idiot like Sorbo is just a win, no other words.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Don't know where I ever heard of Sorbo, but that's the only name I recognize, albeit dimly. I don't watch many movies, and xtian ones even less.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

What no fans of Kirk Cameroon? If you watch end credits of his movie "Fireproof" you see a list of donors and among them are bunch of schools.
Yeah, Kirk Cameroon is a man! He takes children's lunch money and launders it through his crappy movies into his pocket. How do you not love that?

I figured out why you don't appreciate it. You see Kirk Cameroon taking lunch money as a scam, don't you? Typical atheist mentality or, as Ken Ham says "secularist's". Because from Christian perspective this makes perfect sense that Kirk takes lunch money from kids, because:
1. by Kirk Cameroon taking their lunch money from kids forces those kids into fasting and thus they ensured their place in Kingdom of heaven.
2. Kirk Cameroon gets to make a Christian movie.
3. People watch it and get converted to the path of Kingdom of heaven.
So everybody wins. You're welcomed. I mean the fact that you couldn't realize such obvious thing is because you've been brainwashed by Richard Dawkins and Carl Sagan who talk about religion but are not theologians. And that's why you should read theologians like Saint Augustine and actually learn something about Christianity.

I'd have to say Russell Crowe. He's done some explicitly religious films (eg, 'Noah') and some with a strong religious subtext ('Gladiator'). In his personal life, he has the sort of looney religiosity you only find in the very rich, little things like having a consecrated Byzantine church built on his ranch in Australia.
Plus, he's a cracking good actor.
