This is the kind of thing that promoted me to Leader of a gang of jerkoffs. Alas, I lost my power.

Many thanks for typing all this out. I have read through it all, though I can't say I've had time to digest it. It's full of good ideas and interesting reactions to issues that many smart people are dealing with.

My very first reaction is to say: you would really enjoy getting into William Blake. He was also dealing with Nietzsche-like issues, and like you ended with a far more positive conclusion than Nietzsche did. (Blake lived before Nietzsche, but it's important to see how much of Nietzsche's thought, at least at the beginning, was standard Romanticism.)

Like you, Blake developed concepts which he then expressed as personified characters. Many parts of his system echo yours. For example, you say:

Quote:The will to power generates 'the force of life', just like the light brings energy. 'I shall protect what I love and destroy what I hate, so as to give my limited life meaning', this idea is the force of life. Here, it is important to notice that healthy love always points to concepts which promote the pursuit of meaning, while healthy hatred always points to concepts which hinder the pursuit of meaning. The force of life gives a person the strength to conduct good deeds and constructive work. It protects us from despair and the hate for life in times of busyness and hardship.

Blake said that "Exuberance is Beauty," that "Energy is Eternal Delight." And that

Quote:2. Energy is the only life and is from the Body and Reason is the bound or outward circumference of Energy.
3 Energy is Eternal Delight

Those who restrain desire, do so because theirs is weak enough to be restrained; and the restrainer or reason usurps its place & governs the unwilling.
And being restrain'd it by degrees becomes passive till it is only the shadow of desire.

Naturally it's unfair of me to read your system and immediately begin talking about someone else's. But my first reaction is just to note how much of what you say here is very similar to one of the English language's greatest geniuses.

I would like to address what you say about sin:

Quote:What Christians call ‘sin’, I call it cycle of weakness. It is the source of most, if not all of our spiritual issues. Christians believe that sin is separation from God, and I believe cycle of weakness is inability to confront self-awareness. Christians believe that sin made it difficult for us to recognize God, and I believe cycle of weakness made it difficult for us to find the trinity goddess, who are sleeping and waiting in the depth of our unconsciousness! They do have an important difference, though. While ‘sin’ sounds like ‘our faults and flaws’, ‘cycle of weakness’ is a difficulty or disease. The god of cycle of weakness is a black dragon named ‘Bahamut’, it blocks our self-awareness, bends our will to power and trample on our force of life. It is he who granted the dragon named ‘you should’ (mentioned by Nietzsche in his work) strength and influence, not the opposite.

If you read what Dante says about sin you will find that your view is actually strongly in line with his theology. And his theology is pretty mainstream Catholicism, though it may be different from what most people hear from the pulpit these days.

For Dante, sin is not about breaking arbitrary laws. Dante's God is just Goodness itself. Doing God's will, in this case, is just doing what is best for ourselves and others. Sin is more like a weakness or misunderstanding. That is, we don't eat well because a tyrant tells us we should; we eat well because it's the best way to have a happy and energetic life. Sin can come in two forms: eating too little or eating too much of the wrong thing. And we do this because we misunderstand what's in our best interest. I can personally attest that in certain moods, I think that eating a whole package of caramel Tim Tams will make me happy. This is my (frequently tested) misunderstanding, because in fact I end up feeling worse. All sin is this way: natural and honest love aims for what's best, while misinformed or mistaken love errs. Compounding the errors weakens us and makes it difficult to recover.

So it might turn out that parts of your system are more in line with Christian traditions than is at first obvious.

Blake also thought that a mature person will find a kind of "higher innocence." Not the naivety of youth, but the simple goodness of well-adjusted people. This I find similar to your own image of the übermensch, as opposed to Nietzsche's. (Though to be fair, there are people who disagree about Nietzsche's. The popular image is that he advocated amoral masters -- great men who don't care about the untermenschen. That may not be true.)

By the way, please don't be discouraged by snarky replies on this forum. As in any community, people who think and write differently may find that they are not well-received. If you were to type "Religion stupid your dumb" in big letters you would find a warmer welcome.

I don't know if you're inclined to post here again or not. If you are I'd be happy to chat with you.

Ok, thanks a lot. Chatting could be inconvenient for me because I live in China and the connection is not very reliable. I’m curious what kind of people might be interested in my ideas?

And I’ll know about William Blake, thanks for mentioning him.

Understood.

I like China a lot, by the way. I gave a lecture at Beijing University a while back, and have also visited Shandong University. I saw Confucius' tomb at Qufu and climbed Tai Shan. That was great!

This is always hard to say. You're too artistic to make this a university thesis, and you're too intellectual to get much popular attention. I'm afraid I'm not good at finding appropriate audiences.

Blake has gotten serious attention from Japanese intellectuals since the early 20th century, but I don't know about in China. He's a lot of work, but repays the effort.

Please take care, and thank you again for letting us read your writing.
