In my opinion - just about every problem we have had it's roots in overpopulation.

Totally unnecessary air travel.

Do people agree that the explosion in global tourism and air travel over the last 17 years, in and out of China and globally in general, is the primary cause of the pandemic status/containment fail RE SARS-CoV-2, as opposed to "SARS1" (which was called SARS-CoV)? Here is a graph - looks to me like there has been roughly a 10 fold increase in outward tourism from China since the 2003 "SARS1" epidemic, and doubtless very significant growth in air travel in general globally too. It seems to me, crass as it sounds, that we're lucky "SARS2" has "only" around a 2% mortality rate, and not the 10% mortality rate of the 2003 "SARS1" virus/disease. IMO we cannot afford to sleepwalk into a "SARS3" pandemic by continuing to globe trot at a whim like there's no tomorrow. I was very down on air travel before SARS-CoV-2, due to global warming. Well, now.....
