How bored are you?

RE: How bored are you?
The passenger side wiper on my truck has needed changing for 4 months. I've had the new one for 6. Maybe I'll get to it tomorrow. Or the next day.

Rain-X® properly applied will remove the need for wiper blades. Both my wife and the guy I used to carpool with just completely piss their pants that I don't use the wipers in the rain. If it's raining hard enough either way, I'd be off to the side of the road. Rain-X® works especially well on the slantier windshields of the newer vehicles. YMMV
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Hey, you''re right.  I forgot.  I think there is half a bottle or less in the garage.  I might give it a squirt tomorrow.  Or the next day.

RE: How bored are you?
I only had to stay home for seven days, so it wasn't been too bad. My room is extremely tidy and organized now, so that's nice.
I also did a lot reading/research and writing, some artwork, watched some podcasts, and got a chance to connect with family members and old friends I'd been meaning to catch up with.

Isolation's not exactly a struggle for INTP-A personalities...lol. We can take or leave social interaction.
There's always lots of excitement to be had within our own thoughts. Wink

If it had been for much longer though, I would've included some socially-distanced bike rides and/or walks to my routine for sunshine and fresh air.

Me, meh I don’t think it’s changed one bit for me except now I’m forced to brave the shopping with coupons with a mask slightly more often, and a slight uptick in my already work from home job. Slightly more stocked in the pantry too.

I'm thinking I should crack open one of these many, many bags of split peas tomorrow and make some soup.
It's cool. I'll still have 836 bags left, I think. Tongue

Rule of thumb. However big you build - twice as big still won't be big enough.

Put EVERYTHING possible on wheels.

If I could put the lathe, vertical mill and surface grinder on wheels - I would.

Shop - 30 ft x 50 ft.

Edit - there is also a 2 post lift and full welding area.

I have enough mechanic tools to repair my vehicles, a table saw (contractor size), router table, carving bench, and a planer/sander/drill press stacked up. I have two rollaways, with intermediate and top boxes. Let's not forget the AC evacuation pump and controller. Then there is the shop vac with a vortex separator on top. Put in a stool on wheels, and what you have left is enough space to walk sideways through the part that that is possible. One of the rollaways is in a cabinet, next to the one that has the wire feed and gas welding rigs. I have to drag that shit out when I want to weld, and have to move other stuff out of the way to get them out. I have wood for future projects stored in the rafters on sheets of plywood and hanging shelves. If I'm in the garage and an earthquake hits, I'm a goner. The wife and I went to Oregon in '13 looking for a place to potentially retire to. One of them had a shop building like what you have. When I work on my vehicles, I lay on cardboard, because I'm on a sloping driveway and I'd roll down it on a creeper. I'd literally surrender my right nut for something like that...it's been giving me trouble, anyway.

Get a garage with at least a 12 foot ceiling - for the hoist. I just got my MIG machine this year (got by with the TIG for years.) I had to replace a flange on an exhaust. I did it sitting on a barstool using the MIG. Easy peasy.  Fuck dat laying on the ground shit..

Any job is easy. Or at least easier - if you have the right equipment.

I'm not bored so much as I'm annoyed that my whole family is home All. The. Time!

I'm an introvert who needs to be alone, like, a lot, so having them around all the time is preventing me from just chilling properly. I'm still working so I get out of the house. I do miss going to McMennemin's with the wife.

I haven't been bored at all since this virus business started. Although I haven't been going out much for over a month, I've been living a mostly reclusive life ever since I retired in 2001. For now, I'm doing my spring cleaning and catching up on my reading. There's always something to do. I'm considering getting back to writing Middle Earth fan fiction.

My daughter is bored.
I just found a dead ant on the concrete pathway, circled in chalk, next to that it says, 'RIP - cause of death - unknown, he was dead when I got here.' :-)

There probably won't be any unchalked pathway tomorrow.
