Quote:What else can I say that I haven't already said? I also doubt that a Real God would be close minded. That your god and the gods of your compatriots are all positively defined by their close-mindedness would seem to be a non starter for us both.
Why is your god so small, if you don't believe in small gods?
I dont think its a small god , but it is a god capable of judging the human kind .
I have a favorite part in quran , many people have not seen it that way .
You should try to see it from a special angle .
I will start with the arabic word for God ,
"Allah"
and a verse in quran .
Quran 2:26
Quote:“Verily, Allah is not ashamed to set forth a parable even of a mosquito or so much more when it is bigger (or less when it is smaller) than it. And as for those who believe, they know that it is the Truth from their Lord, but as for those who disbelieve, they say: “What did Allah intend by this parable?” By it He misleads many, and many He guides thereby. And He misleads thereby only those who are Al-Fasiqun (the rebellious, disobedient to Allah).”
I see a connection in both of it ,
I see this as a miracle of the quran itself .
Both looks like a mosquito and the whole quran has a humming tune like a mosquito .
This is one of the reason why i read this book sometimes , because i find that pattern very interesting

Why would Allah have to mislead the disobedient?
Reminds me of 2 Thessalonians 2:11, in which God deludes people so that they will be damned.

Try answering the question: Why would Allah have to mislead the disobedient?

This is the best quote i can come up from the book
Quote:We created man from a drop of thickened fluid to test him.
Therefore We made him hearing, knowing.
Surely We have shown him the way to be either grateful or disbelieving.
(He is free to go either the straight way that We have shown him, and prosper, or be ungrateful and deviate from it).
I don't like the idea of testing people like some sort of experimental test subjects

You've done an excellent job of not answering the question. Here's another (see if you can fail to answer it in an equally spectacular fashion):
If Man is free to disbelieve, what is the point of Jahannam?

I think it has something to do with how a mans brain works and how he should decide between good and evil deeds .
I can give you an example of how a boolean logic works because i have degree in computer science
Mans mind really switches thoughts and actions like a computer logic .
He is capable of doing harm and good things .
Gods rules was set for him to avoid evil deeds .
Since man can make decisions of his own , God says it will judge a person according to his actions and thoughts .
Quran 2:62
Quote:Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve.
Good people will be sent to heaven and bad people will be sent to hell
That is what Jannah and Jahannam are for

But since Allah defines which deeds are evil and which are good, but punishes the evildoers, then Man is not 'free to disbelieve' in any meaningful sense.
And, since Allah misleads disbelievers, the alleged 'freedom to disbelieve' becomes doubly problematic, since Allah is the one leading people into disbelief.
All this from 'the perfect book'.
