Hard to come to any other conclusion other than this fucking nightmare never fucking stops
It won't stop until enough black people start defending themselves and their communities instead of weeping and begging white folks for justice--or asking to hug these motherfuckers in courtrooms and forgiving them.
The race soldiers in blue have no qualms about murdering Blacks in broad daylight with cameras rolling because the system condones and enables it, and they know that most Black bystanders are unarmed---and that all Black people are going to do in response is to run around waving some fucking signs a few days later.
The issue isn't more guns. I FUCKING HATE THAT. The NRA/NSSF are nothing but corporate lobbies paid to protect firearm CEO's profits.
Firearm companies will sell to whites, and cops and blacks, and the more violence we have, the more the firearm industry can make money off of fear of each other.
Firearm Companies are just like Daffy Duck pitting Foghorn vs the Beagle. Convince all sides the other is the enemy, and sell them boobie traps that simply create more mistrust and violence.

I haven’t really been following but I have a question if I could. Athene, if all cops, lawyers, judges, etc were replaced today with blacks would there still be inequality and the types of problems the thread raises?
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

This was one of the most frustrating aspects of the whole Botham Jean debacle for me. That, and the judge giving Guyger a Bible.
In many cases, regardless of race, I am astonished by the need to forgive the person who has taken the life of a loved one. I assume it's often a religious thing but I can't wrap my head around the public announcement of forgiveness. Maybe those that do it feel it makes them a better person. Hell, I would hope they are a better person than the murderer/rapist/molester.

Currently they make cops out of people - and people tend to be finicky unreliable, judgemental and generally bad tempered.
You want cops that never make mistakes or exercise bad judgement.
...
As long as cops are people - you are going to have problems....
I’m actually sympathetic to this position but probably for different reasons. Trying to police Americans has to be a fucking awful job. It’s no wonder they’re crazy.
Still though. He fucked up not giving that guy any air.
armchair quarterbacking aside ---
if you are sitting on a guy who says "I can't breathe" -- do you believe him???
Think...
Talking is air going out... Gotta be going in - right???
When he goes silent - THEN he isn't getting any air.

When someone says, ‘I can’t breathe’, of course they’re still breathing. However, saying that is generally indicative of a breathing problem - most people aren’t likely to say, ‘My airflow seems somewhat restricted.’
The guy with a knee on his neck complained repeatedly of breathing problems. Now he’s dead. And he died with that knee on his neck.

Well I know one thing for goddamn fucking sure
I couldn’t be a cop
Fear makes a dangerous cop and I’m scared of crazy motherfuckers
But hey that’s why I’m not a cop

What does this individual incident have to do with the long term?
At best it demonstrates as with Eric Garner that cop training is "use force first".
Whites don't have to fear the same reactions in similar interactions, armed or not.
When Eric Garner said "I can't breath" and this guy said the same "I cant breath" why didn't the officers in either case adjust?
Why did the white Church shooter, and white Theater shooter make it to the back of a squad car, after committing mass murder, and two black guys, one accused of forgery and one accused of selling loose packs of cigarettes die?

High rates of responsible gun ownership in Black communities proved to very effective deterrent against WS fuckery, historically. Still is, in many areas across the South.
I support it.
