Yup trespassing a misdemeanor not even severe enough to make a citizen's arrest. Hardly enough to justify murder . 

 News4Jax has done an excellent job of not allowing comments on articles about him where the narrative is spun to make him look like a choir boy. 

To my knowledge no ones painted him a choir boy . His past crimes have been well covered 

He didn't deserve to die but he played a bit part in his own demise.

No he didn't wandering around an empty house frame for 3 minutes . Then not trusting two guys who chased him in a truck to not shoot him . Is not playing a part 

 Obviously he knew neighbors were on to his trespassing and he knew they were fed up with his being a menace

To date he's only been proven to have entered the property once the day before he died . And some menance he walked around for a bit and maybe got a drink of water from a tap 

. His gangsta attitude caught up with him when he decided to fight with those two males rather than turn around and "jog" the other way. What a shame one of his boyz or his brother wasn't "jogging" with him that day

His "gangsta attitude" huh (yeah no implications there). He was running and they cut him off WITH GUNS !, And he should not have had to run the other way . They had no right to chase in the first place trespassing ISN'T A FELONY THUS YOU CAN'T MAKE CITIZENS ARREST and his "boyz" (yup no implications here) and all the evidence points to him jogging that day .

McMichael Used Racial Slur After Killing Arbery

Bryan told police McMichael said "f***ing n***er" after three blasts from McMichael's shotgun left Arbery dead in the streets of the Satilla Shores neighborhood
in February, Assistant Special Agent in Charge Richard Dial said.

However, the agent said, there were "numerous times" on social media and via messaging that McMichael used the same slur, replying in an Instagram message before the shooting by saying things would be better if someone had "blown that N-word's head off," Dial testified. Dial did not say to whom McMichael was referring. Dial was not asked for more context.

Not everyone.  Some of us assumed it was a hate crime from go. Others seemed to take the stance that it wasn't necessarily a hate crime as a way to justify or minimize what happened.

I don't think this assessment is accurate.  I like to hear the facts before making up my mind definitively.  Many of these crimes appear from the start to be hate crimea.  Waiting to hear, or see, confirmation of same is not the same as minimizing or justifying a hate crime.  It's waiting for the facts to be revealed.  Supposedly we don't prosecute based on assumption but rather on the facts.

It's got nothing to do with prosecuting anyone for anything. When two white men jump in a truck to chase a black man and that black man ends up dead, my biases lead me to conclude 'hate crime'.  It may not be justifiable, it certainly isn't fair, but that's how I work - nothing I can do about it.

And not everyone who took a wait-and-see stance was trying to 'justify or minimize'.  I should have been clearer about that, sorry.

But does McMichael using the n-word repeatedly lean you to believe that this incident was - at least in part - racially motivated?
