The biggest change I've seen was when there was like, NO internet and now we carry google around with us in our pockets! My kids struggle in school and I'm like, "Google dat shit! I'm old Greg!"
I also remember when there was NONE video games and then basic shit like the Atari birthed on the scene... cut to DOOM! WOW, you can walk around in dat shit! Now you can pick flowers in a world that remebers which flowers you picked and then you go blow people away with your guns after getting off your perfectly rendered horse. It is amazing really and I can't wait to see what comes next.
Most likely it is going to be some Surrogates tele-presence robot future but whatever.

Good music - crap music
Bad fashions - mediocre fashions

Looks like that would be rough on your suspension.
I’m told that it’s a geologist’s idea of heaven. I’m not a geologist, so I was pretty much underwhelmed when I saw it.

I am happy we have quite a variety of wild birds who visit and I try to keep the birdfeeders filled to make sure they keep coming around.
Then and now...so many things...
Vinyl, and the wonderful album covers***digital downloads
Rotary phones with party lines***phone that doubles as a computer that fits in my hand
Waiting weeks for film to be developed***phone that doubles as a camera that provides editing and printing ^see above
Wringer washing machines***washing machines you can control with an app on your phone
Three channels (and we kids were the remote)***roughly eight bazillion channels you can call up with a voice recognition remote control
Waiting for weeks for an order to arrive from the Sears catalog***two day shipping on almost everything
Paging through the encyclopedia with a dictionary on the side***Google
***so many things
(bold mine)
SO much this. It raises my hackles when people bitch about the price of a smart phone, usually saying something like, ‘I would never pay $1000 for a phone!’
I’m tempted to grab them and shake them while yelling, ‘It’s not just a phone! It’s a portable computer that makes phone calls - GET A SENSE OF PROPORTION!!’
