Social distancing party ideas

Social distancing party ideas
I have a tween with a birthday party coming up. We are struggling to come up with proper social distancing birthday party ideas. It’s not the theme necessarily, more of the venue and method. We’ve talked about lawn movie parties or parade type parties and virtual/gaming parties. Anyone got the creative juice to help out a papa?

Girl. We had thought before Covid of a Betelgeuse or anime theme, but I’m less stuck in theme and more stuck on method. It’ll still be really hot outside, and I don’t see any place inside hosting a gathering, and the virtual stuff seems really lame but I’m on video conferences all day.

As the saying goes "Desperate times yield desperate measures"

And perhaps you probably won't use this solution unless you get really, really desperate:

So maybe you could have a garden party, and when you see too much kids gathering at one spot, you send Bobo the Fart Clown who makes a sound with a bicycle horn and lets out a fart from a can to disperse kids away.
After he does that few times, it will be enough for him just to use the horn because the kids will hallucinate the smell - sort of Pavlovian reflex. Or they will just disperse when someone yells "Here comes Bobo!"
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Having a part with some veteran friends on a significant date coming up. Some of them are doing the distancing thing a bit over the top, they're in Darwin, Australia.

Outdoor table stations: paint fingernails, sand art jars, decorate face mask (sharpies/glitter-glue), snow cones, food (single serve dogs/fruit/chips), paint (small wood blocks),................. some can do while others watch.

At some point (if they're up to it, I don't know girls) water balloons/squirt guns. (automatic distancing)

Have isopropyl in squirt bottles for sanitizing.
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

If this was going on when my son was at that age I could have gotten away with sending pizzas to a few of his friends houses and given uninterrupted time for online gaming.  That's how a lot of weekends went anyway except the other kids' families fed them.  Smile

Girls are a little tougher.  Fireball has some great ideas.  I like the idea of decorating face masks.  You could have little prizes for different categories of decoration.  Young girls also like to make friendship bracelets so they could do that...again with prizes.  You can get kits for bracelet/necklace making from Michael's or off Amazon.

You mean brewer, right?
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
