No, it says that charitable organizations can't campaign for candidates. It says nothing about criticizing the government or politicians.
Even if it did say what you imagine it says, it would have nothing to do with why Yoho got bounced from the board of a Christian charity.

Moot point today, anyway, since enforcement dried up ten years ago, when catholics and evangelicals decided that they were incapable of adhering to such a simple provision and the irs realized that it could never win a pr battle with professional liars.
Religion, in the us, something like the 15th largest world economy if it were a country...which it very much would like to be.

Branch Ministries spent money on political ads and did not report the income used to pay for the ads as taxable to the IRS. If they had stuck to criticizing from the pulpit, they'd have been fine.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
