I must be reading the religionist nice guys wrong.  Religions are supposed to be religions of peace. Not of war. Genocide is a war god’s tool.
 
I do not want to believe that my parents who ere Christians, would condone such crimes against humanity going on today.

I passed by a sign for a Mennonite church on my walk the other day and it said that they were the church of peace.  I have half a mind to test that theory.

I went to Western Mennonite High School outside of Salem Oregon for three years. They are a very anti-violent people! They actively avoid being drafted with religious exceptions by filing Conscientious objector. We had chapel every day in the morning between classes and sometimes they would open the floor to questions and sometimes the question would be about someone breaking into their house and threatening to hurt their kids and wife. Most of the speakers would act in that scenario but some of the most staunch Mennonites said that they would do nothing because who were they to interfere with the will of God.

I am a Canadian and we, unlike Bush, did not get a message directly from god to start a Holy War.
