RE: Sola Fide
"I am aware of that" does mean "I know that". When you are aware of the answer to a question, you know the answer to a question.

Dictionary agrees with you. In that case it is a synonym, and can be used interchangeably, so it is tautologically true that being aware of something is knowing it... so it is useless when used as you first did in the thread (to define knowledge). So how do you define knowledge now? Levitate

My apologies tacky for missing this post ...

As it IS in an Introduction thread I feel that it will be necessary to respond to you in a new thread and put a link back to this thread so you can follow?

Interesting point.

My point is that since awareness and knowledge are the same thing, one can learn the definition of awareness in order to understand the definition of knowledge from a different perspective.

@KN- true I'll keep an eye out among the veritable sea of posts a day I see.
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

@Doubtie: that seems a fair idea to me. Using awareness as the definition of knowledge is stretching it a lot though.

Am I the only one that finds it amusing that discussions of god always end in word games? Are word games the strongest evidence we have? ::rhetorical::

Am I the only one who is constantly puzzled by atheists who talk about God as if he were real? As in, "Why does God do this?" or "What was God thinking when he did that?"

He's not real!!!
