Ah, you know that an immediately ready gun is a dangerous object, killing men, women and children all too often. Makes your position regarding guns for home defense nonsensical. So, stay misanthropic and you won't have any dead visitors.

That is the point the far right on this issue does not get. It IS just a tool. It is not a toy, it is not a living human. And just like tools, technology changes, and tools change and laws have to adapt to changing times. And like all tools, they can be misused to harm others. And just like other tools, many require skill and qualifications to properly use. And other tools should not be in the hands of the unqualified.
