I'm luke-warm at best on Harris. I'm also highly skeptical that she will be the heir to Biden.
I do agree with SINGULA that Joe is perhaps a bit too nice and that some degree of hard-assness is required to be affective in the top spot. Obama had the same problem. That's why I favored Hillary in 2008.
For better or for worse though, the momentum in the democratic party seems to favor the far left. Maybe Bernie Sanders is too far left for the mainstream but I think Harris is too close to the center.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Boru So, we are really going to drain the swamp?
Still have more than a few to get out.
McConnel and Graham spring immediately to mind.

Both have been softening their BS. I would guess that continues to be the case.
McConnell even agreed that all legal votes must be counted, going against Trump.

She is going to be a force. If something happens to Biden as some have fretted about, I think she can put her foot down or put her foot in someone's ass when needed.
The Trumpers better be nice to her.

So she's not black enough? Didn’t say that. And you’ll never hear me say it. I’m saying she’s so far sunk into internalized racism, that she doesn’t know which way is up. Pushed really to have nonviolent offended put away. And sure does love the death penalty. And she half-asses everything just like Biden. Don’t think for one just because she’s brown and a woman she cares anything about brown people or women. She’ll toe the line just like the rest of the Republicrats. The dems keeping spewing this reach across aisles bullshit. Like their weakness isn’t why we just went through this shit show for four years.

I have no love for Biden/Harris. And as an "eye of the guest", what I'm seeing is just a step on the way, going from a pile of shit, after 4 years of bullshit from Trump & Co., to at least going for the shovel to clear all the shit. It doesn't end there, though. Just one of the many baby steps. Who knows, some day humanity will go from crawling on the ground to actually standing upright, like Konstantin Tsiolkovsky noted: "The Earth is the cradle of the mind, but one cannot stay in the cradle forever."
And if you're wondering, yes, I did get that quote from SMAC. Enough bullshit figurative language.

I just read an article from NPR with info I didn't know. I knew Ms. Harris had a white husband but I didn't know he was also Jewish...lots of firsts for the White House.
Mr. Emhoff will also be the first second gentlemen of the United States.
