Jimminies fek me side ways. Only 5K to demonstrate just  how much you don't like country music.

 Tongue

Sounds like a bargain, dunnit?

Uhm.... It was a motor home. A timed sound system, so possibility some simple computer bits running that side of things.

How expensive is an RV? I might see one every month or so. Here they aren't that common.

So... seemingly not soms small investment. Not a VW or Morris Minor and a lunch-box of black powder set off by an alarm clock kind of thing.

There'd be more than one person involved I'd be thinking.

Unless America is growing 'Unabombers' by the bushel nowadays?

Wishing every one over there is safe.

You can rent one for a few hundred bucks. You can rent one and not return it.

The problem with country music is they never say which country.

It looks like they did connect the RV to a person of interest. I'd be interested to know, how. Cameras, license plate, vin number or auto part numbers.

They have license plate cameras in Nashville, like most larger cities these days. Good ones sort by all kinds of criteria, including time of day and type of vehicle.

They were able to ID the truck used at the Oklahoma City bombing by serial numbers on truck components - and that was a MUCH larger bomb.....

They will be able to ID this - but safe bet - it was sold to "Joe Blow" in cash - and never re-registered....

And stealing a license plate that is current - for an RV - is quite simple and unlikely to be reported as stolen for months.... Just go to a U store lot - and take one off one someone just parked for winter storage...

Nah, Imma guess it was a rental. Took a page out of McVeigh’s notebook.

Here’s hoping this is not another Richard Jewell.

Funny, I was just thinking that about 15 minutes ago. But it still turned out the real perp was another right wing asshole. Eric Rudolph.

This guy is a 63 year old white guy. If he didn't do it, someone had to have a connection to his personal info and the RV.

I had a black co worker in the kitchen I worked at, who was falsely detained  because the real perp gave his name to the police in place of his real name when he was arrested in a prior stop.

I don't think this is going to be the same though. It is unfortunately easy to swat anyone for any reason.

I think the case of Jewell is that because of the sudden shock to society, everyone wanted a quick solution, and because Jewel seemed too cooperative at the time, investigators locked in on him in a rush.

But in the case of the Boston Bombers, that also did not take long to identify suspects. And they ended up being the real perps.
