Turning the tables on atheism

RE: Turning the tables on atheism
Lets cut our Muslim friend here some slack, Islam isn't the only religion on the face of the planet. Nobody in antiquity of any religion worldwide had any clue of the nature of reality that we know today.

No one is picking on Islam. We’re pointing out his erroneous logic.

What you're asking for is how we prove there is a physical object or particle, not a supernatural agent.

I agree, Zebo is asking you to prove that what you argue is a real thing (physical object), not a made up thing (supernatural agent). Pity you don't try to do that.

Even if I believed that, it's a different argument.  Stop moving the goalposts and settle on an argument.  Please restate the argument which you want us to consider.

Whether any of the objections to theism are conclusive is a matter of debate and another claim that you have not provided evidence for.  Are you just content to engage in a Gish Gallop?

I didn't change anything, read the post more carefully, please. My argument stands : it's highly probable that they have been reconciled. Do you disagree? You say we have no evidence that theism is coherent, well, we usually don't try to prove a negative (there is no contradiction in theism), we simply say : atheists were trying with this problem for thousands of years and didn't manage to come up with a contradiction, therefore it's almost certain that there is none.

First of all, I never said theists have no evidence that theism is coherent, so stop peddling falsehoods. By my count you've made three arguments in this thread:

a) There's a high probability that Muslim believers have successfully rationally reconciled their beliefs, therefore something something something;
b) Nobody has been able to conclusively show theism is false, therefore something something something;
c) Nobody can show that theism is incoherent, therefore something something something;

Pick a fucking lane and stick to it!

Regarding 'a', as I've already noted, this is an argument that requires evidence and you've provided none and so the argument fails.

-and for b and c, neither have anything to do with atheism - which isn't the belief that theism is false or incoherent - simply the fact of whether a given individual believes in a god.

Don’t play so fast and loose with the word ‘friend’, please.

A religion being perfectly internally coherent has no bearing on whether that religion is true.

Let's get a few things straight;

1) This colossal fuckwit is not my friend!
II) It's not his muslimism I take issue with, it's his zealot like assholeism.
C) And yet with a virtually endless source of information, Porky Pig here, chooses utter and complete ignorance.

Thank you very much.
Have a nice day.

Boru

An internally consistent religion suggests diligence on the part of the people who created the theology and/or its supporting scriptures.  Very similar to the world-building done by good authors working on a complicated piece of fiction.
