It isn't actually all that good, but what should one expect of an "instant" soup from Costco? I've had the same thing (for real) at Vietnamese restaurants, and didn't enjoy that, either. Tendon and tripe may add flavor, but I don't enjoy the texture of either. Plus, now that I'm aged, I'm experiencing GERD issues, and can't even eat onions or tomatoes, anymore. It would appear that mayo is off the menu, too. Dafuq kind of life is that?

Aren't genetics grand? Some people can eat whatever they want, even in old age, while others cannot.

Well. Most of my aunts and uncles died in their 50s, with few exceptions (a couple died in their 30s, from cancer). The non-smoking teetotalers on my mother's side live(d) into their 90s. I don't know about their health conditions, though. Smoking is extremely bad news for us. My father, then my mother, then one younger brother succumbed from tobacco use. My youngest brother survived laryngeal cancer at 51, but now has no teeth and has other issues from the chemo and radiation that affect his breathing and heart function. He's 57, 11 years younger than I. He can't walk around the block without half an hour of recovery time, and it took him about a year to find a doctor who would actually put him on disability. Crazy bidniss, all around.

Spaghetti and Ragu with plenty of crushed red pepper. I invested in some canisters for uncooked spaghetti which have graded holes in them for measuring spaghetti earlier this year. Best.purchase.ever. Now I no longer need to guess about the amount of spaghetti and end up with spaghetti all over the counter. Just measure, stick in the microwave cooker for 15 minutes, heat up some sauce, and I'm good.

I tried tofu for the first time today.

I made rice. Rice is like salad. It is just an excuse to put all my favourite things into a bowl, mix it, and eat it.

Rice
Carrots
Corn
Green beans
Mushrooms
Onion
Black beans
Egg
Tofu chunks

I ate a lot of tofu back when I was a vegan. Also, there was one Chinese dish called Buddha's Delight that had tofu in it that I regularly enjoyed.

It was pretty good. I'm going vegetarian(with an exception for eggs) for about 2 weeks. Nothing more frustrating than to stall during weight loss.
