It's just plain fucking sick.
Things like this make me HATE religion. There is NO secular argument against terminating pregnancies in cases like this, but religious motherfuckers... They manage to put people through the most fucking repulsive situations imaginable all in the name of their fucking imaginary friend.

Disgusting. People who think they know the mind of a god are just plain dangerous. I'm truly shocked that in the 21st century humans can be so knowingly inhumane. A mother has the right to choose precisely becuase the baby is part of her.

It seems to me the only right headed position is to be pro choice. Even most anti-abortion advocates are pro choice. Ask an anti-choice fanatic if a raped 14 year old girl should be forced to carry a pregnancy to term and most of them will say, "Well, under those circumstances, no."
So, most anti-abortionists are actually pro-choice under certain circumstances. But why do the circumstances make a difference? If you allow an abortion for a raped 14 year old, aren't you "killing a baby" (their rhetoric)? So why should it matter if the pregnancy was a result of rape? It shouldn't! So, if you allow an abortion in some circumstances, there is no logical reason to deny abortions in other circumstances. Unless, of course, you hold the position that even a 14 year old rape victim should have to carry a pregnancy to term. Which an incredibly IMMORAL thing to do.

I do wonder why the Deaver's didn't simply leave the state to have the appropriate medical procedure done. They shouldn't have had to, but that would have been the appropriate response to this lunacy. Hopefully they are preparing to setup a legal attack on this abomination of a law.

Religious authoritarians and right wing authoritarians putting their nose in other families business YET AGAIN! So much for smaller govt. Why dont they say what they really mean - that they want corporations to do whatever they want and that govt is for enforcing christianity only.
