Suddenly the right wing fringe is intensely interested in women's sports. Huh.
If The Flintstones have taught us anything, it's that pelicans can be used to mix cement.

Yeah, lol, I bet they're gonna start paying bajillions any minute now for girls soccer, or what have you. It's gonna be really super duper important to safeguard all of that new money from the ball carriers who might want to exploit their newfound interests, by having reassignment surgery or getting into hormone therapy.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

In the most obvious case, there is often extremely limited potential to get better enough to be competitive at the next level.

OK, so? I can't compete at the highest levels in any sport.  For that matter, I can't compete at even moderate levels in any sport.  My genetics don't allow it. But I don't expect to be in a special classification to soothe my ego.

To be fair, they are running out of vulnerable minority groups that they can legally harass. People of Colour have civil rights; gay people now enjoy most, if not all, of the same privileges that straight people do; feminism has gone far enough that they're losing any justification to keep women within the old boundaries of "Kinder, Küche, Kirche"; who else is there?

And before you say "maybe try not shitting on vulnerable minorities," remember that performative cruelty is not only a crucial element of the right's rhetoric currently, it's pretty much their sole basis for morality at this point.

If you are already in a special class, not because the class existed to soothe your ego, but the class exists and nonetheless serve to soothe your ego, you would feel it is very unfair as well as a great loss to lose that class and have to be a nobody in a more challenging class.

What is more, when you had the special class that wasn’t conceived to stroke your ego, people would praise you for being  great in your appropriate class.    once you lose this class, people will say you are no good, and you belong to a class that is no good.

From the quote box:

Quote:● Students will identify Judeo-Christian values (e.g., rule of law, God-given rights, equality of mankind, limited government, separation of powers, consent of the governed) in founding documents.
● Students will recognize the influence of the Protestant work ethic on economic freedom and personal responsibility.

The first sentence quoted has every single word a lie, most of the stuff that gives us rule of law (eg habeas corpus, presumption of innocence, fair trial, prohibition of excessive punishment) comes from non-christian sources, if the bible were the source of our legal system we'd still be gutting chickens to prove guilt. Rights most emphatically do not come from god, in all the abrahamic religions humans are abject slaves to god's will.  Equality of mankind is not a thing, though if the bigoted idiot who wrote this meant that all are created equal, then I've one word for them, just one word, slavery.  christianity posits that god is absolute ruler and under god is the king who must not be gainsayed, same goes for separation of powers, god holds all power.  Consent of the governed derives from pagan Athens, under christian rule the governed must unquestioningly obey their absolute rulers.

On the "protestant" work ethic, in Germany, the country where this idea supposedly originated, most of the industrial areas (the places which are praised for having it) are in the largely catholic Rhine-Ruhr valley.  Plus you've got totally catholic Belgium and northern France.  In fact the protestant work ethic is totally dependent on where the natural resources are, and they happened, in England, to be in protestant areas.

That's bullshit.

What does it mean that they're "moving forward" with this? Is it a done deal, and the next step is implementation? Because liberal American values do NOT find a foundation in Christianity, and it's miseducation to suggest otherwise.

Far right nazi ideas on the other hand, do.
