First of all, monetary funding of the U.N. isn't any kind of share as the distribution of power and votes in the various bodies of the U.N. is not based upon it.  

Second, even if it were comparable, the U.S. would NOT be a majority shareholder.

The link says just what he said, (and I said). It says one fifth. That's a majority of nothing.

The members of the UN don't get more votes, depending on how much they give. The Security Council does have some "more influence", but it's not according to donations.

From what I've read, it looks as though "bringing them home" may not lead to any reduction in US violence against Afghanistan.

The official US troops are coming home, but thousands and thousands of private contractors are staying. This means less oversight from government, and more freedom from any sort of restriction or prosecution when they strike out. 

In other words, privatized war is probably worse.

Especially when that country offered to hunt him down and hand him over to the US through a third country (either Turkey or Kazakhstan, two staunch US allies at that time). The US had as much right to start a warof aggression against Afghanistan as it did against Iraq because of what al-Qaeda (a creation of Saudi Arsabia and the CIA) did.
