It's actually pretty rare for me to be genuinely afraid of a horror movie. The only examples I can think of right now are Eraserhead and the Human Centipede.

I've always loved horror movies, but it's been a long time since I've been genuinely scared. I keep hoping to find that movie that will really freak me out, but I think I've become too desensitized, nothing really does it for me anymore.
Japanese horror movies are pretty decent at being creepy and making you shiver. One movie that I found quite disturbing and disgusting (but not necessarily scary) was called 'Seed,' with footage of animal torture, dying and decomposing people, and a 15-minute long murder scene involving a hammer. There's another movie called 'The Martyrs' that I've wanted to see, but I've heard it's especially disturbing so I don't know about that one yet...
These days, I prefer suspense and psychological thrillers, movies that keep you guessing and actually make you think. Or really bad horror movies that make you laugh. Watching bodies being hacked apart by psychopathic slashers is just so old and overdone these days that it's pointless.

You should watch The Human Centipede backwards/rewind. It's more pleasant because it shows deattachment instead of attachment.

This video is probably the best way of replying to that statement.

I haven't been scared by a horror movie yet. I can be taken by surprise but I wouldn't call that alone being 'scared'.
I haven't watched many though to be honest.
I do sincerely doubt that any movie can ever scare or disgust me though.

You should watch the "Saw" series of movies, they are awesome in my opinion, but also very graphic. "Hellraiser" movies are good too.

Is anyone else annoyed by people who say "I've never been scared by a horror movie." ??
That's just a blatantly stupid remark, and for that matter, so is "I never get scared anymore by a horror movie." Even if you weren't scared for long. Even if you were only startled momentarily. Even if you've seen hundreds of ridiculously stupid horror movies. Even if you've never screamed outloud in a theater. Even if you've been watching horror movies since you were 4 ............ you STILL know what fear is and you STILL have been scared by a horror movie.
Yeah, I can tell you right now, LOTS of "scarry movies" don't scare me and I even laugh at MANY of them, but quite honestly, it's simply just macho bull shit to say that no horror movie has ever scared you.
Get over yourself. You're human and yes, you have been scared .... even if momentarily.

I'm not scared of horror movies, because I know it's just a movie, but like you said, I did get frightened sometimes (in a very small amount), but it passes away in an instant. Most of the time, it's either because of a loud sound effect or an image suddenly popping into the screen that scares me. But one second later, I laugh at it.
And I LIKE horror movies. I saw almost all the episodes of the Twilight Zone.
But I haven't watched a horror movie for quite a long time. Furthermore, I didn't even watch any movies for the past month or so (or maybe longer).

I'm frightened by the way you spell ridiculous. Here is a website that can help:

PS - Are you a fan of "The Human Centipede: First Sequence"? Your avatar kind of looks like the cover art.
