There was one at grandma and grandpa's house but I preferred the set of Lincoln Logs.

I had Lincoln Logs too, but I prefered the Erector set more. But then again, my entire childhood I went from one thing to another. Even at one piont I was into bulding model war planes, and my favorites were the F-14 Tomcat, and WW2 Pacific Corsair. The toy stores held tons of models you could buy and glue and paint.

All of that got replaced by age. As an adult I became more concerned with stupid things like bills and eating.

Pretty blue paint. The corsair.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Lack of responsibility. Now I have to do things myself and I can't really expect someone else to do it for me. It's a blessing and a curse.

Back in my very breif model war plane obsession, I once bought scale modle F-14 Tomcat.  I loved them because of the retractable wings. Much like a bird folding it's wings or extending them out. ANYWHO, so after going to Toys R Us, and buying a scale modle of an F-14, I spent days and weeks snaping the parts together, and bought paint only to be told by others, that the F-14 never would have been painted camoflauge.
