A Healthy Alternative to Birthday Cake

A Healthy Alternative to Birthday Cake
My birthday is coming up in August. I want everyone to have a horrible time being healthy on my special ego day. I'm trying to lose weight right now and I will not be tempted or distracted just because it's important to my mother that she get to stick a lighted candle in something.

This will be a thread where I take suggestions for a healthy(read: simply low calorie) alternative to birthday cake. Even if it ends up being cake, so long as it's not 500+ calories/slice, then that's fine.

I will also post recipes and ideas myself and get the community's input on whether that is gross or not.

It would suck for my family to go through the trouble of buying or making a cake I won't eat for MY frickin' birthday. But it'd also suck for me to request a cake/cake alternative that nobody else will eat except me. Unless that sounds normal to you guys?

I have an awesome joke for this, but you had to go ahead and tag it ‘Serious’. Oh, well...

How about a pavlova? It’s technically a cake, but it consist of just an egg white meringue, fresh fruit, and whipped cream. Pretty festive and all.

Be like my neighbour russians - drink vodka. Vodka will burn calories and heal your soul.

Yeah, you're right. It is a topic that lends itself more that way.

As for your suggestion, that might really work as an alternative.

I was thinking of a watermelon cake because it'll be right in the pit of summer here and that might be refreshing. Then "icing" it with homemade egg whites whipped topping. Or a Jello cake with whipped cream and fruit.

Dark chocolate chip zucchini bread with nuts.
It’s like banana nut bread if u get it right.
Sponge cake and fresh fruit with low calorie whip cream.
Health crepe stack. Like a pancake stack only use honey.
Off the top of my head.

Well, this is technically a kind of cake, but it's low calorie: I tend to use a 3-2-1 mug cake.

1) Take two boxes of cake mix. The second one can be any flavour, but the first one must be angel food cake. Mix them together as much as you can.
2) Take 3 tbsp of the resulting mix, and put it in a mug.
3) Add 2 tbsp water to the mug.
4) Microwave for one minute.

Personally, I use 4.5 tbsp of mix and 3 tbsp of water. This might be easier if you have a spoon like this.

I've been on a diet since 2012. Went from 200lbs to 120lbs and I'm still at 120lbs. For my birthday, my mom makes a cake made with whole wheat, baking powder, baking soda, splenda and fruits (sometimes soaked with rum). Rum is always an exception in any diet, so long as you don't over do it. After baking it, sugar free jam from smukers is used as icning. And it tastes like heaven but is most likely more or less 200 calories.

Seeing as the serious tag has been removed, here’s the joke I mentioned earlier:

Overindulging in birthday cake qualifies as gluttony, which is a sin. However, you can eat as much pie as you like without fearing Divine retribution. Why? Because the sin of pie is always zero.

*waits for massive kudos and thunderous applause*
