One person's opinion is nothing but anecdotes. It's not evidence. Correlation is not causation.
There is one that shows that New York heart surgery patients who get prayed for, do worse than those who have no prayers.

Actually the "do unto others " thing actually was around in Hebrew thought before Jesus, (it was not his idea),
but it wasn't really popular until after the temple was destroyed, and later when the rabbis were trying to figure out where Judaism was
going with no temple, and certainly after Jerusalem was destroyed in the bar Kochba revolt and no "center" at all left.

So then, not Jesus.
Thank you.
He did say if you ask for anything in his name, it would be given. You think the Haitians are not praying ?

Well Jesus isn't God. He can only do so much.

That's funny. The Catechism says he is God.
And obviously Jesus was lying.

I don't see God and Jesus as being the same. I think Jesus is a messenger of God.

I left Catholicism for a few reasons, that being one of them.

Good for you. Did jesus help you cut in line, or did god?

Pious...prattle.

So then, you're what they call a "cafeteria Catholic".
You just make up shit as you go along, and if it's convenient, you accept it.
Pious drivel. It's as good as a martini, apparently.

Weren't you pushing the Catechism the other day ?

A person has to wonder what makes some other non god human messenger..a messenger. What differentiates a hypothetical real jesus from the common lunatic on the street babbling about the end of the world?

I don't agree with everything in the Catechism, so on a subjective basis, I can't recommend it, but on an objective basis, it's theologically sound.

Jesus did tell them the end was nigh, (as many Jews thought then), and that it was coming in the life-time of some who were there, and then it turned out not to be.
Seems the messenger didn't get the right message.

So then, being "theologically sound", it's correct that Jesus is God ?
BTW, are you drunk ?

Jesus said he was God. Was he telling porkies?

Well......I guess I can't beat atheists in a debate.

Yeah, no. This isn't a debate.
