I posted a little thing called a link. Some people click that and read it because it might be relevant. That article tells you why Norwegians are happy, and you believe what the article says, for what reason?

That explains quite a bit, doesn't it?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I wouldn't know, seeing as how I'm absurdly smart and happy. I think the two things are related...but, you tell me..? Is there some split in your religious beliefs where, to be happy, you have to be a mouth breather.....and where, to be miserable, you have to be smart?
Are these the rules that your silly god laid down? Sounds like a dummy who can't cope... to me.

I can get that, honestly - but I would point out that we killed those very happy pigs every year, and not for their benefit. Accounting for the relationship betwen ignorance of fate and meat quality, we might say that ignorance is delicious, too..but I'll never advocate for any of mine to be human livestock invested in making themselves more delicious....no matter what this sheeps subpar mommy told him.

The first is a contradiction in terms. To be enlightened is to know and understand things.

That's a false dichotomy.

Marxism and Christianity are very similar insomuch that they both promise people a fairytale society, but with the real intention of manipulating them by a small group of rulers. With both originators not being adherents of their ideology.
The only difference is that the creators of Christianity added supernatural powers to Jesus for people to believe in it more fanatically.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
