Not remotely a celebrity, but my obit has been written for years. It'll probably have to be published in one of 'those' newspapers. You know, the kind where facts are optional and all the editors are Art History majors.

'Loath' and 'loathe' don't mean the same thing. Loath is an adjective specifying reluctance. Loathe is a verb specifying hatred.

So, ‘I am loath to loathe [so and so]’ is grammatically correct. That make me weirdly happy.
