Welcome to the oil slick California.

Thumbs Up
Welcome to the oil slick California.
On a dark ocean seaway,
Warm smell of ineptness, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw a greedy light
My head grew heavy, I had to stop for the plight

There  was the corporate,
Stopped in the doorway
I heard their mission statement
This could be Enron or this could be could be fake.

Off in the distance
I saw a shimmering link
It was an unfortunate choice
Of one or two in the stink

Mirrors on the ceiling
Big oil melting ice
And all the polar bears
Don't care about human vice

Last thing I remember
I was running for the truth
Tring to find the passage back
To avoid Fox News uncouth

That was so awful, I almost thought it was an actual Eagles song.

Oh yea, pretty sure you suddenly bowed to your knees and saw me as a God. I don't gamble at all, but my bet is you knew I was ribbing.

There is such a thing as being silly. No, for your information, I am not a God, god or "godlet" (I think I created a new word).

I was poking fun at how big oil thinks it owns the world.

None of which changes the fact that it was a horrible parody. Just horrible. Dull, clumsy, unclever, and incredibly drab and awful.

Your poetry - both serious and parodic - sucks.

Fuck off. Is it the goal of every human to work till they die? NO, and all joking aside, rich or poor, NOBODY wants to go from birth to death feeling like slaves.

I don't give a shit that others have more than me. I really do not. But I do give a shit about inequality and narcissism. If you fucking think that, for example Mark, just yesterday had a "hiccup", he didn't just impact the rust belt or trailer park users, he fucked over even big businesses. Mark's class, and Bezos class, and Musk's class, and Walmart's class, none of them can understand that they DO NOT do the majority of work. Having an idea from a comfortable executive penthouse skyscraper board room, billions of states away from the people whom make up the majority of clerks and cashiers and bathroom cleaners, is absurd. For every Jeff Bezos there are millions more whom his class claims  we are poor because we simply didn't try. FUCKING BULLSHIT.

The only honorable success in life, isn't judging those who didn't get where you did. I think the only honorable success in life is to recognize you stand on the shoulders of others.
